I work as an independent artist in San Diego CA. I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2014 with a BFA in Ceramics. I have been lucky to do apprenticeships with Santa Fe Clay in New Mexico and with David Cuzick in Spring Valley, CA.
I believe that pottery is full of potential as a medium and as a practice, and such a valuable skill and product to share. I taught kindergarten through 5th grade ceramics at international baccalaureate school McKinley Elementary over the last several years, and occasionally teach adult classes as well.
I regularly show my work at Clay Associates’ June and December biannual shows, the annual Pottery Tour in San Diego, and at annual winter shows at the Hagan Collection in Wellesley MA. My work is also in use at local restaurants and coffeeshops in San Diego, including Himitsu in La Jolla.
